Author used the Great Western Railway and walked when necessary to record his observations of Cornwall in the early 1900's. Writing is vivid and descriptive. Stokes had an eye for plants, animals, and of course a bit of Cornish folklore.
Inside pages appear to be free of any foxing, the inside cover is browned with age, an early signature is on the frontispiece. Hardcover, approx., 5x7, 138 pages, index, published 1909, binding is weak but still holding in there, this is typical of many books of 100 years old. Cover has is slightly faded, overall book is in good condition. Price reduced to $20.00
