Billy Bray was a legendary figure in the early 19TH century in Cornwall, a miner and very popular lay preacher who single handed built a number of chapels. Before 1900 almost every Cornish home had a bible and a copy of this book in their house. Many of these copies can still be bought today what sets this book apart is the exceptional condition it is in. Hardcover, 4x6, gilt lettering on cover and spine, corners show only very slight wear, inside pages clear and slightly darkened due to age, this edition was published in 1883, very good condition overall, $25.00 in USA.
